One thing to consider is that “intelligence” is difficult to measure. A very pragmatic way we might measure intelligence is, the ability to leverage thought to get what you want. Assuming you want sex, then, by this definition, if you can get sex, that means you’re smarter, and if you can’t get sex, that means you’re less smart.

For example, suppose a hyperintelligent transhuman is transplanted on Earth in a human body and urgently wants to have sex. This superbeing will quickly observe and comprehend the appropriate “mating rituals”, including things like going to bars, popping your collar up, listening to Lady Gaga, etc. etc. The alien will then perform these things with great skill and get lots of sex. A naive human observer might look at the alien and think, “bah, stupid brainless jock.”

Also are the stories you read a representative sample of people’s sexual experiences in the past? Might it be that great minds who wrote about their sexual exploits could make it seem high class/literary or simply a fascinating quirk of a genius while the poor working sod who coarsely bragged about fucking a girl and a pig didn’t get his story into the annals of history?

Maybe people are just way more perverted than you expect.

You can do a fair bit of physics in the armchair but in sociology about the best you can hope for is to make a theory seem a bit more likely than not without data.

Even the most cursory examination of the sexual peccadilloes of the great minds and creatives throughout history will reveal a diverse range of perversity.

This is born out of their higher intelligence, their greater ability to accept, comprehend, desire to question, and self confidence (lack of fear of social/legal bariers) In addition their capacity and voracity stands way above the ‘norm’

No studies are required to identify this.

1) In my experience sexual appetite, sexual adventurousness, and intelligence are correlated in women. Of course it’s only a correlation (and probably kind of weak) so it has plenty of counterexamples but generally I’ve found that if you find smart women to date you will find women who will do kinky shit.

Partially this just reflects the fact that it still requires a certain amount of non-conformity and aggressiveness to grab the understanding/knowledge necessary to be smart. Especially for women given the social incentives that favor being pretty and dumb.

2) So what if most people aren’t good at sex. It is about effort and practice (there was a recent slashdot story that claimed that nerds are better lovers as a result of this). If you find someone who is smart, sex positive and into you they will learn what to do.

3) Studying sex like that seems a bit obsessive. Not only is it more fun to figure it out with someone else if you get too focused on this it will interfere with meeting/attracting ppl you want to date.

1. Most women (and men) I meet are intellectually inferior and it is frustrating to have a conversation with them, I fell like I am talking to a child most of the time.

2. Most intelligent people I meet aren’t sexually adventurous enough I like all sorts of what you would call alternative sexuality that most intellectuals don’t know anything about.

3. Most people aren’t good at sex it is something that you need to practice and study. for example, when I lost my virginity at the age of 22 my partner didn’t believe I was a virgin because I had been studying sexual practices
   since I was in high school so I would be ready. Since most aren’t any good I can take care of myself better no loss.
